Worship Safely

Worship Safely: It continues to be our desire to help keep everyone as safe as possible and give the community of Life Church confidence in being able to worship together. We have therefore committed to undertake the following as part of our general routines going forward and as an expression of our love for one another.

We continue to live stream each week, which has many benefits and we also recognise the benefits of masks for our community and therefore encourage those who wish to continue wearing one, to do so.

Contagious viruses continue to be a part of our everyday lives, so if you are displaying symptoms, no matter how mild please don’t come for the benefit of the whole congregation. Join us online to worship until this clears up, this includes if you are scheduled to serve.

• Please also follow current government/NHS guidance on self isolation for contagious diseases. Symptoms for which typically include: cough, runny nose, headache, vomiting, diarrhoea.

Hygiene will remain a key measure:

• Sanitiser will be available across the building, we ask you to use this as you enter the building and we will be overseeing this for our young people’s groups.
• Group leaders will continue to wipe touch points ahead of their group’s gathering.
• Kid’s groups will refrain from using food in craft activities.
• We will continue with robust standards established within our catering/refreshments delivery, including removing self service as much as possible. Wrapped biscuits for refreshments and individual communion cups will also be part of our new routines.

Seating will remain at 0.75m between rows in the main hall. Please do not move any of the chairs. We will continue to leave space for ministry and prayer and ask those responding to be mindful of others.

Small groups are encouraged to use a variety of methods to gather – in person in the building, via zoom, outdoors and in homes, taking care to respect the concerns of those within each group.

Pastoral care work is to be offered in public spaces / church and only in homes if those being cared for are unable to leave their homes to meet.

Offering – We’re really thankful for your continued giving to the mission of God at Life Church and would ask that where possible you continue to do this electronically, although the offering box will remain at the back of the church hall
